An exhilarated crowd near Java Green proved to be a fantastic audience for yet another road show conducted on 2nd March promoting SRM University’s much talked about national level cultural fest, Milan ’11. After the introduction of the event, adrenalin levels rose as the performances were kick started with an amazing dance by Shona, who flaunted her moves once again after the previous road show.
The show received a magical touch when renowned magician Arvind, who will be performing again during Milan, blew away the students minds with spellbinding tricks using ordinary items like handkerchiefs, dice and cups.
As the programme went along, the anchors raised questions such as “What could be the reason for the University Block being painted pink?” much to the amusement of the audience who, by the looks of it, had not thought of a reason before and were brain storming for a possible answer while coming to hilarious conclusions! The evening sailed on with more spectacular dance gigs and song numbers. It was spiced up further when Shona was thrown a surprise challenge along her way by someone anonymous and the crowd cheered wildly as she danced her way through it.
J. Kishen and Sagar’s jokes and mimicry performances left everyone laughing away while Sanju’s rendition of “Chaiya Chaiya” from ‘Dil Se’ and impersonation of actor Nana Patekar pumped up the crowd’s energy even more.
And so the excited student community crossed another landmark as the fiesta called Milan ’11 draws closer. Things will only get bigger and better from here on in as the hype and anticipation keeps building, so watch this space for more as it happens!
