The General Quiz organized as a part of Milan this year was anything but general with topics touching the realms of the brilliant and the mundane. With questions from geography, history, the arts and modern day GK, all picked with the purpose of enlightening and entertaining, the event was an outright success.
For over 140 team entries, a rigorous selection procedure of written questions carved out 6 teams of 3 members each, who went head to head and toenail to toenail to grab the Rs. 2000 cash prize that was at stake. Phenomenal audience participation added to the events brilliance.
After a grueling final round tagged, “The Infinite Bouncer” with a rapid round of questioning, the team of Anirudh, Rohit and Harish stood victorious, performing well with every genre of questions, with 122 points even as second place winners ofAmit, Vinayakand Kaushikwith 62points did themselves proud.
One of the most anticipated events of Milan, the General Quiz lived up to its reputation of blockbuster entertainment served with a decent helping of everyday knowledge. SRM students expect more of the same from every such event to come in the following years.
