Quiz Your Way to Victory!

SRM sported a uniquely entertaining quiz, tailor made for the many sports and entertainment crazy students on campus. The SPENT, SPorts and ENTertainment, quiz featured questions related to vast world of sports and the entertainment industry.

The quiz started off with preliminaries with questions seeking to eliminate all but 6 finalist teams who would battle it out for the final Rs. 3000/- prize. Questions ranged from modern day Bollywood to the yester-years of Hollywood cinema. Various genres of music and musicians were quizzed about.  Also, participant’s knowledge about the who’s who of the sports world was tested.

As for the finals themselves, there were 4 rounds. The first was an Audio/Video round whereby participants were given clues and had to guess the personality. The second and third rounds dealt with entertainment and sports related questions respectively and the final round included both genres. A mixed bag of questions was occasionally tossed at the audience to keep the crowd entertained throughout the session.

After the last question was asked and the dust finally allowed to settle, the team ofAnirudh and Harish stood high over the rest. Tied to their score was that of Rohitand Balaji. The winners were “ecstatic” about their performance and “thrilled” about the win.

An overwhelmingly positive reaction from the crowd laid testament to the success that the event was enjoyed and at the same time has raised the bar for all the other events that are expected in the near future.
